Each year St. Patrick’s Home has a Century Bash to celebrate our residents who are 100 years or older.  The centurions are invited, along with their loved ones, to a party in their honour.   This year the Century Bash was held on September 18, 2019.  What a wonderful celebration! The room was decorated with elegance, our centurions looked beautiful and our guest speakers had some very kind words to share. One of our residents choose some beautiful words to express to those celebrating a milestone birthday.  Our resident June McGuire’s wrote and shared a poem  “A Century of Living” which was a very special moment. You can read June’s beautiful poem here: A Century of Living

Many thanks are extended to our annual BMO volunteers for their gracious assistance. Besides the BMO group volunteering their time, they also donated the corsages for the ladies and the champagne for the toast which added  an elegance to this event. We also need to extend a thank you to the Barrhaven Loblaws for their generous donation of floral centerpieces for the tables.  We also wish to thank Ottawa City Councillor Riley Brockington for taking time out of his busy city schedule to join us in celebrating our centurions.
