On October 16th, 2023, the Feast Day of St. Marguerite d’Youville, St. Pat’s welcomed Archbishop Marcel Damphousse, of the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall. His Grace blessed the statue of St. Marguerite d’Youville in the Larry Kelly Family Garden. Residents and family members have expressed how much they cherish the statue of honour. Prior to blessing the statue, Archbishop Marcel Damphousse celebrated the Mass. His Grace also spent time greeting many residents and family members during the reception that followed the blessing. It was a wonderful visit. The statue of St. Marguerite d’Youville is originally from the retreat house in Orleans of the Sisters of Charity of Ottawa (Maison Notre-Dame-de-la-Providence).
