On August 27, two buses filled with residents and staff from St. Patrick’s Home of Ottawa embarked on a meaningful pilgrimage to the Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Shrine in Varennes, Quebec. Ste-Marguerite d’Youville is the founder of the Grey Sisters who’s legacy guides our care philosophy.
The day began with a delightful picnic lunch, followed by a guided tour of the shrine’s museum. The group then visited the stunning Ste-Anne’s Basilica and celebrated Holy Mass. Within the basilica lies the tomb of Ste-Marguerite d’Youville, where participants gathered in prayer, seeking her intercession.
This event beautifully reflects the Mission, Vision, and Values of St. Patrick’s Home of Ottawa in action. Pictured below are residents June McGuire and Suzanne Pantusa and staff members Robert, Terri and Fr. Joseph at the pilgrimage.
