2017 Soirée—”A Night at the Tropicana”  was alive with the spirit of Cuba, bringing much warmth to an otherwise long cold winter evening.  Guests were entertained with music provided by  the Fiesta Cubaba Band, led by pianist Miguel de Armas and vocalist Caridad Cruz,  and dancers from the Afro Cuban Association of Montreal. The ambiance of the evening was made complete with  “Nuestros Dos Amigos” Michael O’Byrne and Aydin Suatac.

With over $100,000 raised for St. Patrick’s Home, the event marks  yet another momentous stride in the St. Patrick’s Foundation’s history, as one of our most successful fundraising events to date. The evening included a heartwarming video celebrating our seniors’ contributions to Canada’s history during our country’s 150th anniversary, the Heroes of our community, and our Home.

Arriving guests were welcomed into the cocktail reception, where authentic mojitos were served by the Embassy of Cuba prior to being escorted to their tables and encouraged to visit the silent and WestJet raffle table.

Thank you to the Embassy of Cuba in Canada for their endorsement & guidance.
